Fit Foods Awarded Organic Certificate

Vancouver, BC - October 4, 2010 - Fit Foods Ltd., manufacturer and distributor of North Coast Naturals, was awarded the Organic Certificate by the Pacific Agricultural Certification Society (PACS) in August 2010.

The Pacific Agricultural Certification Society (PACS) was formed in 2001 in order to provide organic certification to an ISO (International Standards Organisation) Guide 65 compliant standard that will be acceptable to all jurisdictions.

As an accredited member of the Certified Organic Associations of British Columbia (COABC), the PACS subscribes to and administers the BC Certified Organic Program. The COABC is the accreditor of a number of certification bodies (including PACS) which in turn, are certifiers of individual farms, processors and handlers of organic products.

The Certified Organic Associations of BC (COABC) is the only government-approved body responsible for overseeing the BC Certified Organic Program and Fit Foods is privileged to have earned the certificate.
